"Chance" on iWoman.TV!

“Chance” - a 5-minute short set in the 1870s and adapted from a play by W.S. Gilbert of Gilbert & Sullivan fame - was shot at the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum in NYC. It’s about two estranged sweethearts who run into one another at an inn in New York City during a thunderstorm - the chance encounter giving them a second chance to take a chance on love.

“Chance” was just selected by iWoman.TV in conjunction with New York Women in Film & Television to play in its festival this March honoring Women’s History month. Check it out here:

More Good News!

My short script Second Best, about a practical nurse who's hard-earned nursing school graduation is side-swiped by the on-going conflict between her resentful daughter and a child she once took care of as a nanny, was a finalist in the Cinema Street Women’s Short Screenplay Competition, was a finalist in the top ten at the Oxford Film Festival and is now a finalist at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival.  So the script is getting some love.  We hope to go into production on Second Best as soon as independent production is back up and safely running.

About That Night Wins a William Caspar Graustein Memorial Award!

We are very proud to receive this award as the memorial fund is focused on equity in education. And sexual assault and the fallout from these sorts of attacks is a major reason women face an unequal playing field on college campuses. We intend to tour the film on college campuses to help open up this discussion and this award will help pave the way.
